store

The store is back ( and so am I! )

After some technical problems, I had to put my shop on hiatus. But that's all fixed up now, and there's a new store with new t-shirts and mugs! Yes, it's short a few of the items that were previously available, but those items may return at a later date. Better still is that prices are a bit lower now, too! What are you waiting for? Go get your glow-in-the-dark El Despertar tees! And while you're at it, check out the new Death tees and hoodies. I think they're pretty clever if I don't say so myself. And speaking of things you can buy, I'm now for sale, too! Wait, that sounds wrong. I mean that my web and graphic design services (and maybe some illustration and animation) are now available. Many of you have asked, and I've always had to decline due to time constraints. My time's a bit more open now that I'm a free (well, not free) agent again. You can see my portfolio here.

Also of note: I've been working on an easier way for you to upload your fan art, but I'm now considering starting a new forum right here on skary.com so that people who dislike Facebook and G+ or who are below the age threshold for those sites have a place they can go to talk about all things Skary or just get to know each other. Here there would be a fan art board where you could upload to your heart's delight. This will, of course, need moderators! And that's where you come in.

I'll need a handful of moderators to cover the various time zones of board members. Your job will be to keep the place sane and free from abuse and spam. Moderators who hang around long enough and prove their awesomeness will sometimes get free things!

If you're interested in volunteering as a skary.com moderator, please fill out the form below! I can't pick everyone, so if you're not selected, please know it's not because I don't like you. ;-)

New stuff and other stuff

The new Skary Shop is almost ready. It'll be opening some time in the next week. We're currently working out some kinks on that, but it'll be super nifty once it's up! Here's a glimpse: The new SkaryShop

The third and final installment of Death & Elsie will also be out soon, but I'm taking a break from that for a little while to go back to working on the next book. I promise you won't have to wait too long for D&E 3. I've just got some plate juggling to do. Not literally, though. I like my dishes too much to throw them around (they have octopuses on them!). Anyway. What was I saying? Oh, right. Busy! I am busy.

T-Shirts now on sale! Auxiliary Magazine interview! Contest results!

There was so much going on in this post that I actually had to break it up into two as I wouldn't want Death and little Elsie (and Barcas, of course) to be swallowed up by all this other news. So, expect that trio later. Now, onto the news!

Skary tees are now available in the store! Mister Creazil and the Plague Kid are waiting to be worn by you, but they're currently in limited supply. Get yours while you can! All orders will be fulfilled by the good people of PrintMojo.

In more news, do you know about Auxiliary Magazine? Rena Finkel recently interviewed me for Auxiliary, and that issue is now available for free online and in print in just a few days. There's lots of other good stuff in there too. Check it out!

Also, the Show Your Allegiance Contest was a spectacular show of talent! The judges and I loved all twenty-two of your entries, and we were sad that we had to pick just one. And that winner was Katrina Pomerance with her handmade doll! Katrina has won a Mister Creazil tee for her adorable creation. Congratulations, Katrina!

Cynthia Cheng's delightful comic about the process of making her submission was the first runner-up, and we couldn't just let her slip by without notice. She'll be receiving a little something in the mail as well. Yay, Cynthia!

The other entries will be posted to the Skary.net fan art gallery soon. Again, thank you to all of you who entered!

Here there be t-shirts

As previously mentioned, your pleas have been answered, and I'm finally working on some t-shirts! Here are the top designs I'm considering:

This first set will be a limited run, and price is tentatively set for $15 each, so I need your help figuring out which design to run and how many! Answer the following anonymous survey (it's just three short questions) and pick the next Skary shirt!

New Shop!

Your Christmas shopping just got easier! (That is if everyone you know enjoys the antics of creepy little children who missed a few of the ten commandments during their lessons. Which, of course, everyone does.)  Click here for new prints, old prints, greeting cards, and a 2010 update of the Leading Ladies calendar (now featuring Ida and the Plague Kid)! 2010 Calendar

Note: all orders are handled by either ImageKind or Lulu, so shipping and all that should be fairly quick. If you need customer support, they're the ones who can help.
