Katy Towell is an Oklahoma/Kansas native, twice transplanted: first to California and then Oregon. She's now an animator, graphic designer, illustrator and author with dreams of one day being the scary old lady in the haunted house about which all the neighborhood kids tell ghost stories. Bonus Facts! Katy also collects tea and carnivorous plants, and she lives with her boyfriend and two adopted cats (Merlin and Nozky) in Portland.
Katy's written and illustrated two novels: Charlie and the Grandmothers (Knopf, 2015) and Skary Childrin and the Carousel of Sorrow (Knopf, 2011). She's currently working on more books and continues to publish animated shorts to YouTube.
